The Jewish overnight summer camp experience has proven to serve as a portal to Jewish identity.
UJA Federation’s Jewish Camp Incentive Program, TopBunk, is an outreach program intended to increase the number of first-time campers attending Jewish overnight camp in order to enhance affiliation and build community. The program is geared towards children who are not currently receiving an immersive daily Jewish experience. As such, children who attend Jewish day school (or Yeshiva) are not eligible for this incentive program.
Top Bunk awards:
-
A $1,250 incentive grant to first-time campers to attend Jewish overnight camp. ( Eligibility) ( Apply)
- A $750 incentive grant to campers who re-apply for a second year, and continue to meet the eligibility criteria. (Eligibility) (Apply)
Applicants/Prospective campers DO NOT need to demonstrate financial need. They must, however, apply both to a participating camp and to TopBunk.ca by March 15, 2010. Grants are limited and will be awarded first-come, first-served.
Multiple campers (siblings) from a single family are eligible to receive separate grants.
